After doing all this, I do still experience elevation problems. Installed ORBX Global Base, open LC North America, Northern California. Using P3D v5.

At Boulder City KBVU I do fall of the taxiway. The issue is fixed if I set FSDA below this scenery. But doing so, I loose the correct frequencies at various places. So it seems like FSAD is no longer usable for P3Dv5?

I really do like the scenery and it is running smooth. Yet correct instrument flying with current charts, Foreflight, ATC is not possible without current navcycle.

Does anybody know what the future will bring? Will I have to roll back to P3D v4 or just dispense nice scenery in exchange for navigational realism?

I do understand the problem and appreciate the workaround and your efforts to straighten things up.

I finally found this thread after some hours of investigation. Initially I though orbx was to blame until I de-activated the FSAD layers in the scenery library.

One thing I do not understand though is if stock/default scenery is affected. I stumbled across this problem after updating digital designs EDDP (v1.2). Currently I have no additional scenery addonns except ORBX Global, Germany North&South, Vector (with EDDP de-activated for AEC).

Yet I get the following result:

Those are my top entries in the scenery library:

I applied the fix as mentioned in the thread-opening post. I hope you guys don't give up the good work because of MS flight simulator around the corner.

Just an update from me. Sorry, it was not fsaerodata that caused my elevation problem at EDDP but in fact ORBX.

I had to manually turn the regarding .cvx to .off, then it worked fine. It is not regarding fsaerodata, but for those who might have similar problems: check this (or similar threads) about elevation issues with your airports: https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/187 ... elevation/ and get in touch with ORBX support.

Thanks for the workaround. I hope the developer or someone can help clarify the process.

Steps to follow:
1- Enable the FSAD database on P3Dv5
---- Does this mean to click the Enable button in fsAerodata Configuration Tool and wait until the process finishes?
2- Run the Lorby Addon Organizer tool, positioning the three FSAD entries on top; deactivate temporarily the fsAerodata add-on package.
---- Does the latter half mean: double-click on the three FSAD scenery entries so the turn RED in Lorby Addon Organizer tool and then click on Save?
3- Run Makerwys, so it generates a global list of airports.
---- Does this mean: open CMD with admin privilege, enter the main P3Dv5 folder, and run Makerwys.exe?
4- Run the AdjustElevation tool (check for latest version 1.3 compatible with Prepar3D v5)
---- Does this mean: while still in the main P3Dv5 folder, run AdjustElevation.exe?
5- Activate again the FSAerodata add-on package on Lorby tool and run the flight simulator.
---- Does this mean: double-click on the three FSAD scenery entries so they turn GREEN and click on Save?
These steps must be repeated on every cycle; step 3 can be skipped if there are no changes in the list of 3rd party airports.

I'm posting this in the strange case that it might help someone in P3Dv5:

The AdjustElevation.bat was pointing to the c:\users\<your user>\documents\fsaerodata Files\Navigation Data\Comms\scenery\FSAD_comms.BGL

After the bat was finished running, I copied the above file to the following folder (replacing the existing file there - make a backup first):

In the folder: c:\users\<your user>\documents\fsaerodata Files\Navigation Data\P3D5\Comms\scenery\

It was only after following this process that my elevation problems in P3Dv5 were fixed.

(My add-on.xml is referencing c:\users\<your user>\documents\fsaerodata Files\Navigation Data\P3D5 for each entry needed by fsaerodata).

I updated Navigraph's AIRAC to cycle 2012 and I am not able to run the adjustelevation.exe anymore (see attached wording). Until today all was good. Any idea what has changed with the AIRAC cycle?

Sorry, but I have to add that I also updated MakeRwy.exe to version 5.01 from 4.91.

Hi, I rolled back to MakeRwys.exe 4.91 and the adjustelevation.exe is working again. The culprit is MakeRwys.exe version 5.01 and not the AIRAC cycle 2012. Are you going to report this to Pete Dowson?

The developer is not following up on this thread. His instructions are vague and the steps are error-prone. Since I don't want to spend a long time to fix the issue for every new AIRAC cycle, I am giving up with FADS.
